Beef and Rice Casserole

Method

    Peel and chop the onion in medium-small chunks.

    Saute in margarine with the celery until both are soft.

  3. 03

    Add all the other ingredients except the rice, its cooking water, and cheddar cheese.

    After all the moisture is absorbed, stir and place in a lightly greased casserole dish.

    Cook the rice in the rest of the water.

    After it is done, layer on top of the casserole ingredients.

    Top with the shredded cheddar.

    You can either refrigerate until you want to reheat or you can place in the oven and have this when it is warmed up by using a 350 oF oven.

    Adjust the heating time accordingly if you are bringing it from the refrigerator to heat it up.
