Method

Beat three eggs well and mix in the bread, which can be slightly stale.

If the mixture is nice and thick without being gooey, then don’t add the extra egg.

If it’s still very dry, beat the last egg and mix in.

Mix in the rest and let rest in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish overnight in the refrigerator.

Bake at 350 oF for about 30-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean with no egg moisture.
