Cheesy Garlic Wontons

Method

    Let the cream cheese warm up in a bowl to soften it.

    Roast the garlic in the oven for about an hour wrapped in tin foil.

    Let the garlic cool before peeling it and mincing it.

  4. 04

    Thinly slice the scallions.

  5. 05

    Drain the water chestnuts and mince half of them.

  6. 06

    Mix everything but the wrappers together.

  7. 07

    Place about 1 t of filling in the center of each won ton before dipping your finger in water and daubing some in the center of each straight edge.

    Pinch the edges together to form a small purse with the filling inside.

    Deep fry until crisp in hot oil
