Tomato Flavored Beef n' Vegetable Stew

Method

  1. 01

    Soak the TVP chunks in hot water for about 20 minutes while you cut the other veggies up.

    Heat T of butter in a large pot.

    Peel and dice the onion and fry that on very low, covered, with the sugar substitute for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

    Stir in the diced potato and an additional 1 c. of water and the boullion along with the TVP chunks.

    Peel and mince the garlic and mix that in.

  6. 06

    Slice the celery and dice the squash and mix that in.

  7. 07

    Stir in the basil and 1/2 t savory.

    Peel and dice the carrot and mix that in.

    Mix in the Worcestershire sauce.

    Heat, covered until the veggies are tender.

    Heat the remaining butter in another small saucepan on very low.

    Whisk in the flour and stir for about 5 minutes.

    Mix in the tomato sauce and water while whisking.

    Heat until thick and bubbly before adding to the rest and heating through.
